Five-Minute Christian Meditations

Five minutes is enough time to stop, breathe and remember that you are not alone.

A short meditation will not resolve everything you are carrying. It can interrupt the momentum that keeps you disconnected from yourself, Scripture and the presence of God.

Why Practice for Five Minutes?

A five-minute practice is small enough to enter an ordinary day. You can meditate before work, between responsibilities, while sitting in the car or before sleep.

Consistency matters more than duration. The practice becomes familiar because you return.

A Simple Five-Minute Practice

Spend the first minute becoming aware of your breath. During the second, slowly read one verse. Let a word or phrase remain with you for the next two minutes.

In the final minute, notice what is present and ask what you want to carry forward.

When It Feels Too Short

You do not need to stop simply because five minutes have passed. Let the practice expand when time allows.

On hurried days, allow five minutes to be complete rather than treating it as an inadequate version of something larger.
